Monnaie en bon or, sur un flan large, avec les types complets. L’avers est très difficile à interpréter

Obverse legend : LÉGENDE DÉGÉNÉRÉE + RSC III CACI.
Obverse description : Vestige de tête à droite,de forme rectangulaire, avec trois globules superposés devant le visage (?).
Reverse
Reverse legend : LÉGENDE DÉGÉNÉRÉE + .V.SCNCIIC.
Reverse description : Croix en plein champ, cantonnée d’un globule aux 1er et 2e canton et d’un petit bâtonné aux 3e et 4e cantons ; légende autour.
Commentary
Bien que d’un type très particulier, ce triens ne se rapproche d’aucune monnaie publiée associant ce droit et ce revers. Les légendes sont complètes, mais il s’agit probablement de pseudo légendes décoratives.

Many Merovingian coins, badly minted, with very poor or inexplicit epigraphy, cannot be attributed to a particular mint. Too rare coins unfortunately have the same problem. The attributions being based on often old works, a coin unknown at the time will often have difficulty in being attributed, unless it is possible to read the mint or find the name of the mint and compare with its production in the workshops where he minted coins....
