Predigree :
Cet exemplaire provient de la collection Raymond D. (1948-2017), il a été acquis auprès de CGB en mai 1991 (4.000 fr). C’est le n° 270 de la vente Bourgey des 20 et 21 mars 1975 et il est repris par Stahl sous le n° 321.
Analysé par A. Pol, ce triens CMM 14251 est titré à 59% d’or.

Many Merovingian coins, badly minted, with very poor or inexplicit epigraphy, cannot be attributed to a particular mint. Too rare coins unfortunately have the same problem. The attributions being based on often old works, a coin unknown at the time will often have difficulty in being attributed, unless it is possible to read the mint or find the name of the mint and compare with its production in the workshops where he minted coins....
