ARCHBISHOPRIC OF COLOGNE - HERMANN IV OF HESSE

(1480-1508)

The bishopric of Cologne was elevated to the rank of archbishopric by Charlemagne in 785. Herman IV is the son of Louis II, who died in 1458, the brother of Louis III of Cassel who died in 1471 and of Henri III of Marbourg (died in 1483). Herman died in 1508.
