Exemplaire sur un petit flanmince et ovale, bien centré des deux côtés, court sur les légendes. Très beau portrait d’Arcadius. Joli revers de style fin. Belle patine vert noir

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé d’Arcadius à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : "Dominus Noster Arcadius Pius Felix Augustus" (Notre seigneur Arcadius pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse description : Arcadius, vêtu militairement debout à gauche, tenant une haste d ela main droite, la main gauche appuyée sur un bouclier couronné par Victoria, placée derrière lui.

Reverse translation : "Virtus Exerciti" (La virilité de l’Armée).

Commentary

Poids très léger. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges larges sous le paludamentum. Fibule ronde. Revers tout à fait inhabituel pour cette période.
Very light weight. Type 3 ribbons with rounded ends. Wide pteryges below the paludamentum. Round fibula. Reverse side highly unusual for this period
