Exemplaire sur un flan large et épais bien centré des deux côtés. Beau buste inhabituel d’Antonin le Pieux. Très joli revers. Belle patine vert foncé

Obverse description : Buste lauré d’Antonin le Pieux, drapé sur l’épaule gauche (O*2).

Obverse translation : "Antoninus Augustus Pius Pater Patriæ Tribunicia Potestate Consul tertium", (Antonin Auguste Pieux Père de la Patrie détenteur de la Puissance Tribunitienne Consul trois fois).

Reverse legend : D-ES II-II/ S|C.

Reverse description : Salus/Fortuna (la Santé/la Fortune) drapée debout à gauche, tenant un gouvernail placé sur un globe de la main gauche et une patère de la main droite et nourrissant un serpent enroulé autour d'un autel.

Reverse translation : "Salus Augusti", (La Santé de l'Auguste).

Commentary

Rubans de type 2. Pan de paludamentum sur l’épaule gauche et derrière le cou. C’est le second exemplaire signalé de cette très rare variante de buste.
