Obverse description : Écu aux armes de Germain-François Poulain surmonté d’un casque taré de face et orné de lambrequins.

Reverse description : Une fontaine composée de trois dauphins entrelacés supportant de leurs queues une vasque d’où sort une gerbe d’eau ; à l’exergue : PRÆFECTURA IIa./ 1737..

Commentary

Rappelle la restauration de la fontaine Godeline. Ce jeton a été frappé à 640 exemplaires en argent selon Planchenault. Germain-François Poulain est seigneur de La Guerche et maire de 1733 à 1738. Il porte d’argent à un houx arraché de sinople au franc-quartier de gueules chargé d’une croix dentée d’argent.
