Obverse

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Obverse description : Tête barbare, très stylisée à droite, les cheveux hirsutes ; le nez et l'œil marqués ; trois globules posés en triangle au bout du nez ; un cartouche contenant un V devant le visage.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Reverse description : Carré perlé, avec un annelet pointé au centre, accosté de quatre petits traits bouletés dans les angles.

Commentary

Ce type de tête avec le nez marqué et les trois globules correspond à la variété G1. Une sorte de cartouche se devine devant le visage comme sur l’exemplaire G1, de la figure à la page 217 du catalogue d’Oxford.
Cet exemplaire se distingue des autres par les trois globules alignés de façon parallèle au nez, et non pas posés en triangle. Au revers, il n’y a qu’un globule de part et d’autre de l’annelet et non pas trois posés en triangle.
This type of head with the marked nose and the three globules corresponds to the G1 variety. A sort of cartouche can be seen in front of the face as on the G1 specimen, in the figure on page 217 of the Oxford catalogue. This specimen is distinguished from the others by the three globules aligned parallel to the nose, and not placed in a triangle. On the reverse, there is only one globule on either side of the annulet and not three placed in a triangle.
