Monnaie sur un flan court avec un avers centré et complet. Métal très clair, avec une légère patine grise et quelques zones plus sombres

Reverse description : Annelet entouré d’un T et de trois I, posés aux quatre coins ; l’ensemble dans un carré perlé ; des chevrons à l’exergue.

D’un style très particulier, ce sceat ne semble pas avoir d’équivalent précis dans les diverses monnaies de la série E.

ENGLAND - ANGLO-SAXONS
(7th - 8th centuries)
If the minting of these coins is to be located at the beginning of the 8th century, in Great Britain, it is not exceptional to find them in Gaul. They are often confused with Merovingian silver coins (cf. MONNAIES XIX, n° 503, sceattas c. 680-710, classified in Merovingian denier of Laon). During the 8th century, the style of these pieces is more and more degenerated, they are often in ridge or filled. These coins disappeared from circulation in the second half of the 8th century.
