Commentary

Ce sceat appartiendrait au second règne d'ÆTHELRED II, après les frappes au nom de REDWULF vers 844.
La légende du revers avec le nom du monétaire est un peu simplifiée sur notre exemplaire avec EARDVVF.
This sceat would belong to the second reign of ÆTHELRED II, after the strikes in the name of REDWULF around 844. The legend on the reverse with the name of the minter is a little simplified on our example with EARDVVF
