Commentary

Ce poids monétaire fut frappé pour contrôler les demi-souverains de Jacques Ier. Le A C accostant la main du revers correspond aux initiales du maître balancier André Caers (1616-1617) d’Anvers.
This monetary weight was struck to control the half-sovereigns of James I. The AC on the reverse corresponds to the initials of the master pennant André Caers (1616-1617) of Antwerp
