Commentary

Cette guinée qui est la dernière pièce frappée du genre porte le nom de "Guinée militaire" car elle servit à payer les soldats qui combattaient Napoléon entre 1813 et 1815. La guinée tire son nom de l'origine géographique de l'or qui venait au départ du golfe de Guinée.
This guinea, which is the last coin of its kind minted, is called \\\"Military Guinea\\\" because it was used to pay the soldiers who fought Napoleon between 1813 and 1815. The guinea takes its name from the geographical origin of the gold which originally came from the Gulf of Guinea.
