Obverse description : Cavalier à gauche tenant un cor de chasse de sa main droite tenant de sa main gauche une lance transperçant un sanglier situé sous le cheval.

Reverse description : Cavalier en armure à gauche brandissant une épée de sa main gauche.

Commentary

Michel Popoff dans un article consacré à un sceau inédit d’Anduze, mentionne un autre sceau en plomb d’Anduze de Bernard VII d’Anduze, similaire à celle-ci et issu du même boullôtèrion. Cet autre sceau a été mentionné en 1996 par Johanne Rouanet dans le cadre d’un DEA ; il est toujours appendu à un document daté de mars 1210 et conservé aux Archives départementales du Puy-de-Dôme avec son pendant sur lacs de fils bleu (B 299, revente par Bernard d’Anduze à l’hôpital Notre-Dame du Puy, du château de Fressac, qui avait été acheté au chapitre du Puy pour 10000 deniers Bernardins).
Michel Popoff, in an article devoted to an unpublished seal from Anduze, mentions another lead seal from Anduze by Bernard VII of Anduze, similar to this one and from the same boullôtèrion. This other seal was mentioned in 1996 by Johanne Rouanet in the context of a DEA; it is still appended to a document dated March 1210 and preserved in the Departmental Archives of Puy-de-Dôme with its counterpart on blue thread lacs (B 299, resale by Bernard of Anduze to the Notre-Dame du Puy hospital, of the castle of Fressac, which had been purchased from the chapter of Puy for 10,000 Bernardine deniers)
