Exemplaire sur un grand flan. Portrait stylisé. Très beau revers. Usure importante, mais parfaitement lisible et identifiable. Jolie patine vert olive foncé

Obverse legend : D N ANASTA-SIVS PP AVG.
Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé d'Anastase à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé ; le buste timbré d’une étoile à huit branches.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Anastasius Perpetuus Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Anastase perpétuel auguste).

Reverse legend : E// CON.
Reverse description : M entre deux étoiles pointées à six rais, surmonté d'une croisette.

Commentary


Série lourde. Portrait stylisé où le diadème n’est pas visible. Ce follis semble complètement inédit et non répertorié avec le buste timbré d’une étoile et les étoiles pointées de chaque côté, mais nous avons déjà proposé un exemplaire similaire dans MONNAIES XX, n° 91 qui s’est vendu 175 € sur une offre maximum à 248 €.
Heavy series. Stylized portrait where the diadem is not visible. This follis seems completely unpublished and unlisted with the bust stamped with a star and the stars pointed on each side, but we have already offered a similar example in MONNAIES XX, n° 91 which sold for €175 on a maximum bid of €248
