Commentary

Ce type de monnaie correspond à la var. 10 de la série 40 du Nouvel Atlas regroupant tous les statères unifaces des Ambiens.
Cette monnaie peut avoir été utilisée comme faux, mais il peut aussi s'agir d'une monnaie tardive de bronze, copiée sur le type du statère d'or uniface.
Comme cet exemplaire, la monnaie DT. 243 a la particularité d'avoir une petite esse de part et d'autre du globule sous le cheval.
This type of coin corresponds to the var. 10 of series 40 of the New Atlas bringing together all the uniface staters of the Ambiens. This coin may have been used as a counterfeit, but it may also be a late bronze coin, copied from the type of the single-sided gold stater. Like this example, the DT coin. 243 has the particularity of having a small esse on either side of the globule under the horse
