Ambiens (Region Amiens)

Their name, "those on both sides of the river," said the Ambiens, people of Gaul Belgium, occupied both banks of the Somme (Samara). Their territory is the current department of the Somme. They had for neighbors Calètes, the Morini, Atrebates, the Bellovaci. Their main oppidum was Samarobriva (near Amiens).
