Ce bronze est très rare. Il est connu à moins d’une dizaine d’exemplaires, dont la plupart en collections privées. Il manque au Nouvel Atlas alors qu’il a pourtant été publié dans les monnaies de fouille du fanum de Chilly. L’exemplaire proposé ici semble être le plus beau connu. Simone Scheers précise concernant la monnaie n° 37 de Chilly que «seulement deux autres monnaies, malheureusement sans provenance connue, existent : BN 8400 (2,38 g), Berlin, Staatliche Museen (2,66 g). L’exemplaire de Chilly est le mieux conservé». Cet exemplaire n° 37 de Chilly est en collection particulière «J.-C.» et a été trouvé en surface.
This bronze is very rare. Fewer than ten examples are known, most of them in private collections. It is missing from the New Atlas, even though it was published in the excavation coins of the Chilly fanum. The example offered here seems to be the most beautiful known.
