Flan particulièrement large pour ce type rare, avec un droit un peu confus (trèflée ou issu d’un coin retouché) associé à un revers bien net. Fine patine grise et irisée par endroits, sur une surface très faiblement usée

Commentary

Lors de sa publication dans le Nouvel Atlas, cette monnaie était considérée comme une variété inédite rattachable de la classe II “au cheval retournant la tête en arrière”.
Le motif au-dessus du cheval, en forme de joug accosté de deux globules, n’est pas sans rappeler certains motifs secondaires des statères suessions à l’œil ou à l’ancre.
When it was published in the New Atlas, this coin was considered to be a new variety, belonging to class II “with a horse turning its head backwards”. The motif above the horse, in the form of a yoke flanked by two globules, is reminiscent of certain secondary motifs on Suession staters with an eye or an anchor.
