Alsace - COLMAR - TOWN OF COLMAR - FERDINAND I.

(1556-1564)

Colmar, simple rural town was endowed from 1220 pregnant. In 1226, the Emperor Frederick gave him the title of imperial city. The law of March 15, 1360. From the Emperor Ferdinand I (1556-1564) to Leopold I (1658-1705), most currencies Colmar bear the name of the emperor. In 1634, Colmar was invaded first by the French. It was finally taken by the French in August 1673.
