Commentary

Le “Mark est-allemand” est créé le 23 juin 1948 en réaction à la réforme monétaire du 20 juin 1948 qui met en place le “Deutsche Mark” dans les zones d’occupation occidentales. Appelé succesivement, “Deutsche Mark”, “Mark der Deutschen Notenbank” et enfin “Mark der DDR”, il est remplacé par le “Deutsche Mark” à parité équivalente, le 1 juillet 1990 lors de l'union monétaire suite à la réunification de l'Allemagne..
