Commentary
La médaille, une fonte noircie, est conservée dans sa boîte cartonnée d’origine (abîmée) avec la représentation du paquebot et diverses informations sur l’intérieur et l’extérieur de la boîte.
Il s’agit d’une médaille anglaise de propagande anti-allemande réalisée par Karl Goetz. Elle reprend l’histoire du torpillage du paquebot Lusitania par un sous-marin allemand le 5 mai 1915.

The medal, a blackened cast iron piece, is kept in its original (damaged) cardboard box, which features an image of the ocean liner and various information printed on both the inside and outside. It is an English anti-German propaganda medal designed by Karl Goetz. It depicts the torpedoing of the Lusitania by a German submarine on May 5, 1915.
