Commentary

La médaille de base, soit le Mariage de Friedrich August d’Oldenburg et Anna Elisabeth de Prusse, avait été dédiée le 24 Octobre 1901 par le Grand-Duc pour les jubilés dans le Grand-Duché d’Oldenburg. Elle fut faite sans date, conçue comme médaille pour les jubilés de mariage, les dates individuelles des différentes noces y furent gravées ultérieurement comme c’est le cas de cette médaille, inscrite au revers : 1862-1912.
The basic medal, the Marriage of Friedrich August of Oldenburg and Anna Elisabeth of Prussia, was dedicated on 24 October 1901 by the Grand Duke for the jubilees in the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg. It was made without a date, intended as a medal for wedding jubilees, the individual dates of the different weddings were subsequently engraved on it, as is the case with this medal, inscribed on the reverse: 1862-1912
