Georges de Hanovre (futur roi Georges IV de Grande-Bretagne) et son épouse Caroline de Brunswick assurent la régence de Charles II de Brunswick de 1815 à 1823. A 19 ans, il règne enfin mais sera chassé par le peuple lors de Trois Glorieuses en 1830.
