Commentary

Le fuder est une ancienne mesure en vigueur dans les anciens états allemands. Le fuder est supposé la charge d’un chariot à deux chevaux mais varie d’une région à l’autre, voire d’une ville à l’autre. Dans le Grand-Duché du Brunswick, il équivaut à 881 ⅜ Litres. Le mot Fuder a été traduit en France par le mot foudre.
Ce jeton a été frappé entre 1800 et 1871 pour la région montagneuse du Harz
