Suite à la création du Deutsche Mark le 20 juin 1948, entre 1948 et 1950, des monnaies de 1, 5, 10 et 50 Pfennig sont émises par la Bank deutscher Länder, la banque centrale des secteurs d'occupation occidentaux, puis de la République fédérale d'Allemagne de 1948 à 1957.
Following the creation of the Deutsche Mark on June 20, 1948, between 1948 and 1950, coins of 1, 5, 10 and 50 Pfennig were issued by the Bank deutscher Länder, the central bank of the western occupation sectors, then of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1948 to 1957.
