Alexander von Humbolt (1769-1859) est un naturaliste, géographe et explorateur allemand.Son frère aîné Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767-1835) est un philosophe, linguiste et haut fonctionnaire prussien fondateur de l’Université de Berlin qui depuis 1949 porte le nom des deux frères Humbolt.
Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859) was a German naturalist, geographer and explorer. His elder brother Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767-1835) was a Prussian philosopher, linguist and senior civil servant, founder of the University of Berlin, which since 1949 has borne the name of the two Humboldt brothers.
