Date et atelier bien lisibles au revers. L’interdiction de la représentation de l’homme et des animaux valorise grandement l’écriture, d’autant plus que le Coran dit explicitement que l’art d’écrire est d’essence divine (sourate 96, verset 4). Les inscriptions ont donc à la fois une fonction de prosélytisme religieux et un rôle esthétique.
