En 1936, il y a deux types de 10 Cent :
- un type au nom de Georges V (décédé le 20 janvier 1936) à 500.000 exemplaires
- un type au nom d’Édouard VII à 2.000.000 d’exemplaires pour l’atelier de Londres, 4.330.000 exemplaires pour Heaton et 4.121.000 pour Kings Norton.
Administrée jusqu’en 1895 par l’Imperial British East Africa Company, l’Afrique de l’Est britannique devient colonie en 1920. Elle comprenait le Kenya et l’Ouganda devenus respectivement indépendants en 1963 et 1962.
