Mohammad Zaher Shah (1914-2007) est le dernier roi d’Afghanistan. Il succède à son père assassiné en 1933. Il est renversé en 1973 par un coup d’état alors qu’il est en voyage en Europe. Farouche opposant aux talibans, il revient en Afghanistan en 2002 et renonce alors au trône. Il s’éteint à Kaboul en 2007.
Mohammad Zaher Shah (1914-2007) was the last king of Afghanistan. He succeeded his father, who was assassinated in 1933. He was overthrown in a 1973 coup d'état while traveling in Europe. A fierce opponent of the Taliban, he returned to Afghanistan in 2002 and then renounced the throne. He died in Kabul in 2007.
