Commentary

Louis Bleriot (1872-1936) est un constructeur de lanternes d'automobiles, d'avions, de motocyclettes et de chars à voile, et un pilote précurseur et pionnier de l'aviation française.
Il a volé pour la première fois en 1907 dans un avion de sa conception. En 1909, il obtient le brevet de pilote no 1 délivré en France. Entre 1905 et 1909 il a produit 11 prototypes dont le fameux Blériot XI avec lequel il fut le premier à traverser la Manche en avion le 25 juillet 1909. (cf. wikipedia).
Louis Bleriot (1872-1936) was a designer of automobile, airplane, motorcycle, and land yacht lanterns, and a pioneering pilot in French aviation. He first flew in 1907 in an airplane of his own design. In 1909, he obtained the pilot's license No. 1 issued in France. Between 1905 and 1909, he produced 11 prototypes, including the famous Blériot XI, with which he was the first to cross the English Channel by plane on July 25, 1909. (see Wikipedia)
