Commentary

Dessin original au crayon sur calque par Clément Serveau du recto d'un projet non adopté de 5000F pour la BAO (qui deviendra 10000 par la suite). En bas au crayon l'artiste a indiqué "poids à or Ashanti", ethnie principalement issue du Ghana, pour décrire la statuette en bas à gauche. Format total 26cm x 18,5cm, dessin 19cm x 11,5cm. (Ce projet était très probablement destiné à l'Institut d'Émission de l'AOF et du Togo plutôt qu'à la BAO).
Original pencil drawing on tracing paper by Clément Serveau of the front of an unadopted 5000F project for the BAO (which later became 10000). At the bottom in pencil the artist wrote \\\"Ashanti gold weight\\\", an ethnic group mainly from Ghana, to describe the statuette at the bottom left. Total size 26cm x 18.5cm, drawing 19cm x 11.5cm. (This project was most likely intended for the Issuing Institute of AOF and Togo rather than the BAO)
