Commentary

Exceptionnel dessin original au crayon sur calque par Clément Serveau, du recto projet non adopté de 500F pour la BAO. En haut au crayon l'artiste a indiqué ses sources : "homme et femme Bambara", "Antilope Tchi Ouara, fétiche de la culture Bambara" (masque d'antilope Ciwara de l'ethnie Bambara). Format total 21,7cm x 17,7cm, dessin 18cm x 11cm. (Ce projet était très probablement destiné à l'Institut d'Émission de l'AOF et du Togo plutôt qu'à la BAO).
Exceptional original pencil drawing on tracing paper by Clément Serveau, of the front of the unadopted 500F project for the BAO. At the top in pencil the artist indicated his sources: \\\"Bambara man and woman\\\", \\\"Tchi Ouara antelope, fetish of Bambara culture\\\" (Ciwara antelope mask of the Bambara ethnic group). Total size 21.7cm x 17.7cm, drawing 18cm x 11cm. (This project was most likely intended for the Issuing Institute of AOF and Togo rather than the BAO)
