Type Athéna à droite. Mention ECHANTILLON verticalement à gauche et horizontalement en bas à droite. Lettre D (Mali) correspondant au code Lettre utilisé sur les billets de la B.C.E.A.O. Couleur bleu et ocre, non filigrané.
D'après le site du Collectionneur de M.Buathier (multicoll.net), "ces coupures auraient été fabriquées pour effectuer des démonstrations des distributeurs de billets avec des appareils conçus pour les billets français, ces démonstrations étant bien sûr destinées à vendre cette technologie aux banques africaines". Référence DIS-04-B-01
Type d'Échantillon rarissime. Nous avons vendu cette série une seule fois.
Athena type on the right. \\\"SAMPLE\\\" printed vertically on the left and horizontally at the bottom right. Letter D (Mali) corresponding to the code letter used on BCEAO banknotes. Blue and ochre color, no watermark. According to Mr. Buathier's collector's website (multicoll.net), \\\"these notes were allegedly produced to demonstrate ATMs using machines designed for French banknotes, these demonstrations being, of course, intended to sell this technology to African banks.\\\" Reference DIS-04-B-01. Extremely rare Sample type. We have sold this series only once.
