Billet poétique. Poêmes de Paul Verlaine imprimés au recto et au verso. Billet poétique par Pierre Bettencourt. En 1949 l’écrivain imprimeur décide de surcharger quelques billets courants avec des poèmes. Cela concerne quatre types : le Berger, le Mineur, le Pêcheur et le Le Verrier. Au total environ 150 billets furent surchargés, chez Pierre Bettencourt à l’aide d’une presse à bras. Une dizaine de billets sont actuellement connus, Yves Jérémie a proposé au Club de Chamalières, une causerie très bien documentée sur le sujet en novembre 2022. Les bibliophiles recherchent activement ces billets..
Poetic note. Poems by Paul Verlaine printed on the front and back. Poetic note by Pierre Bettencourt. In 1949, the writer-printer decided to overprint a few common notes with poems. This concerned four types: The Shepherd, The Miner, The Fisherman, and The Glassmaker. In total, about 150 notes were overprinted at Pierre Bettencourt's using a hand press. About ten notes are currently known. Yves Jérémie offered a very well-documented talk on the subject at the Chamalières Club in November 2022. Bibliophiles actively seek out these notes.
