La majorité des pièces de ce millésime sont frappées après l'abdication du roi le 2 août. Entre le 16 janvier et le 19 juillet, seulement 27 058 exemplaires sont sortis des balanciers de la Monnaie de Paris en 16 délivrances. La frappe reprend le 13 août et dure jusqu'au 29 décembre.
