Commentary

Many of these notes are labeled \\\"Sea Salvage\\\" by the Anglo-Saxons. In fact, this note is part of the cargo of the ship \\\"SS Egypt\\\" cast in 1922 off the coast of Finistère and containing the productions of Waterlow & Sons for the Hyderabad. Part of the cargo was recovered in 1930 or 1932 by the ship Artiglio and its divers, and some (unsigned) notes were thus saved.
