Monnaie frappée sur un flan magnétique : acier ou nickel. C’est la première fois que nous proposons un tel exemplaire à la vente. Cet exemplaire avait déjà fait l’objet d’un article dans le Bulletin Numismatique n°001 p.5 : “Deux 10 centimes Lagriffoul apparemment en acier présentées par Michel Gilles, l'une
F.144/35, 1993 (poids 2,67 g) , l'autre F.144/37, 1994
(poids 2,43 g) contre un poids normal de 3 grammes.
L'inventeur d'origine était transporteur de
monnaie pour le Crédit Lyonnais et a trié des
tonnes de pièces, provenant parfois directement
de la MDP (il les mettait en rouleaux). L'exemplaire
1994 est dans un métal parfaitement blanc
et provient d'un sac marqué Monnaie de Paris
28 09 94 1000 P DE 0.10 F = 100 F H2... L'exemplaire
1993 provient d'un sac marqué Monnaie
de Paris 21 12 1993 H3 1000 P DE 0.10 c = 100 F.
Enquête en cours pour essayer de comprendre
ce qui aurait dû être frappé sur ces flans... Manifestement
très très rare...”.
Coin struck on a magnetic flan: steel or nickel. This is the first time we have offered such a coin for sale. This example had already been the subject of an article in the Bulletin Numismatique n°001 p.5: “Two 10 centimes Lagriffoul apparently in steel presented by Michel Gilles, one F.144/35, 1993 (weight 2.67 g), the other F.144/37, 1994 (weight 2.43 g) against a normal weight of 3 grams. The original inventor was a coin carrier for Crédit Lyonnais and sorted tons of coins, sometimes coming directly from the MDP (he put them in rolls). The 1994 example is in a perfectly white metal and comes from a bag marked Monnaie de Paris 28 09 94 1000 P DE 0.10 F = 100 F H2... The 1993 example comes from a bag marked Monnaie de Paris 21 12 1993 H3 1000 P OF 0.10 c = 100 F. Investigation underway to try to understand what should have been struck on these blanks... Obviously very very rare...”
