Épreuve recto verso, non filigranée (juste deux traits). Portrait de Montaigne par Lefeuvre. Prévu pour être un 50F en 1964, abandonné en 1967, la vignette est réutilisée pour effectuer des essais d'impression en continu dans les années 1985. Grandes marges, surchargé EXPERIMENTATION et numéroté 1124780.
Double-sided proof, unwatermarked (just two lines). Portrait of Montaigne by Lefeuvre. Intended as a 50F stamp in 1964, abandoned in 1967, the design was reused for continuous printing trials around 1985. Wide margins, overprinted EXPERIMENTATION and numbered 1124780
