Les armes de Charles de Perrochel portent d’argent, à deux croissants d’or, et en pointe à une étoile de même. Charles de Perrochel de Grandchamp est décédé avant 1674. Il était conseiller du roi en ses conseils d’État et privé, secrétaire de sa majesté et de ses finances et grand audiencier de France. Quelques ouvrages lui sont dédicacés.
The arms of Charles de Perrochel are silver, with two gold crescents, and in base a star of the same. Charles de Perrochel de Grandchamp died before 1674. Historical background
MAINE
Located between Normandy, Brittany, Anjou, Touraine and Orleans, the province of Maine has been a county since the 9th century. Belonging to the counts of Anjou, it became English in 1154. Confiscated in 1203, it was then given by Saint Louis to his brother Charles of Anjou. The province then passes by marriage to Charles de Valois and, on the extinction of this house, returns to the crown. Since the Revolution, Maine forms the departments of Sarthe and Mayenne.
