Commentary
Triens of this type are attributed to the moneyer SIGEBERT and are relatively abundant, allowing for a detailed study, sometimes with subjective distinctions! On this example, likely belonging to series D, \\\"With a five-pointed palm and a lunar E,\\\" it is difficult to determine with certainty the number of points on the palm placed in front of the face. This legend GAVALETANO without the ending FIT is found only on Belfort triens nos. 741-743.
