Magnifique portrait avec une extraordinaire patine vert d’eau. Flan légèrement taché au revers

Obverse legend : AVRELIVS - CAESAR AVG PII FIL.
Obverse description : Buste drapé et cuirassé, tête nue de Marc Aurèle César à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A°).
Obverse translation : “Aurelius Cæsar Augusti Pii Filius”, (Aurèle césar auguste fils d'Antonin le Pieux).
Reverse
Reverse legend : TR P XVIII IMP II - COS III/ S|C.
Reverse description : Mars casqué et vêtu militairement debout à gauche, tenant une haste renversée de la main droite, le pied gauche posé sur un bouclier, tenant un bouclier de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Tribunicia Potestate duodevicesimum Imperator iterum Consul tertius ”, (Revêtu de la dix-huitième puissance tribunitienne, et de la deuxième acclamation impériale consul pour la troisième fois/ avec l’accord du Sénat ).
Commentary
Poids léger. Semble complètement inédit et non répertorié. Manque à tous les ouvrages consultés. Hybride tout à fait exceptionnel associant un droit de 160/161 et un revers de 163.

Caesar
Born on April 26, 121, Marc Aurèle lost his father at the age of 9. He is the grandson of Marcus Annius Verus, brother-in-law of Hadrian and related to Trajan, and the son of Domitia Lucilla, half-sister of Hadrian. He received a careful education with Herod Atticus and Fronton as teachers. In 135, he converted to stoicism, the source of his inspiration for writing the Pensées. After the death of Aelius, he is adopted by Antoninus, just like Lucius Verus, at the request of the dying Hadrian. After July 10, 138, he was engaged to Faustina, born in 128 or 132, whom he married in 145. Caesar from 139, wearing the consulate in 140, Marc Aurèle received tribunician power in 147 and succeeded Antoninus in 161.
