Reverse description : Écu posé sur un manteau d'hermine sommé du chapeau d'électeur brochant une crosse et une épée. L'écu est posé sur une croix épiscopale, encadrée de deux branches de chêne, écartelé aux 1 et 4 de la tête d'une crosse et aux 2 et 3 d'une ancre retournée.
Reverse translation : (Il fournit des secours à la Patrie dans le besoin par le don des vases d'argent de sa cour / Dix dans un marc de fin).
Commentary
Cette pièce est particulièrement intéressante car la date est inscrite en chronogramme au revers et que chaque lettre de la légende est en fait un chiffre caché. L'ensemble de la légende est ainsi un rébus et l'ensemble des chiffres ainsi codés permet de découvrir un millésime (1796).

GERMANY - BISHOPRIC OF EICHSAEDT - JOSEPH GRAF VON STUBENBERG
(1790-1803)
The bishopric of Eichstædt was located in the heart of Bavaria south of Nuremberg. The bishopric was founded in 745 around the personality of Saint Boniface by two Anglo-Saxon princes of royal essence. An imperial mint was established in 908. Episcopal coins began to be minted in the 11th century. In 1790, the domains of the bishop had a surface of 437 km2 and a population of 56,000 souls. Joseph, Count of Stubenberg, was the last bishop who minted. In 1802, the bishopric of Eichstædt was secularized and attached to the archbishopric of Salzburg in 1803. Eichstædt was attached to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806 when the Confederation of the Rhine was formed.
