Reverse legend : PROVIDEN-TIAE CAES./ -|-// NS.
Reverse description : Porte de camp surmontée de deux tourelles pointées et d'une étoile.
Reverse translation : “Providentiæ Cæsarum”, (À la Providence des Césars).
Commentary
Poids léger. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges visibles des deux côtés. Légende inhabituelle au revers avec CAES. au lieu de CAESS.

Caesar
Constantius II was born on August 7, 318 in Sirmium. He was raised to the cesarat on November 8, 324 at the age of six. In 337, after the death of his father, it was he who murdered or allowed most of his collateral family, descendants of Constantius Chlorus and Theodora. Only Constance Galle and Julien escape the massacre.
