Exemplaire sur un flan parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Portrait tout à fait extraordinaire de finesse comme perdu dans le flan. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Jolie patine verte avec des reflets métalliques

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Constantin II César à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant la mappa de la main droite, un sceptre et un globe de la gauche (B*17).
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Flavius Claudius Constantinus Nobilissimus Caesar”, (Notre seigneur Flavius Claude Constantin très noble césar).

Reverse legend : IOVI CONSER-VATORI CAESS/ (COURONNE)|E// SMK.
Reverse description : Jupiter nu, debout à gauche, le manteau sur l’épaule gauche, tenant un globe nicéphore de la main droite et un sceptre de la gauche.
Reverse translation : “Iovi Conservatori Caesari”, (A Jupiter le Protecteur de nos césars).

Avec une partie de son argenture. Très petit buste. Rubans invisibles. Manteau finement détaillé.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
