Monnaie frappée sur un flan large et régulier. Joli portrait. Légères stries d'ajustage au revers. Petites griffures à 5 heures au droit se retrouvant à 1 heure au revers

Historical background
BISHOPRIC OF LIEGE - MAXIMILIAN HENRY OF BAVARIA
(1650-1688)
Maximilien Henri of Bavaria succeeded Ferdinand of Bavaria in 1650. In 1675, the citadel of Liège was taken by the French who destroyed the fortifications before leaving the city in 1676. The Duchy of Bouillon was occupied by the troops of the King of France who passed it on to the La Tour d'Auvergne family. After the episcopate of Maximilian Henry of Bavaria, a period of vacancy opened from June 5 to October 1688 before Jean Louis d'Elderen became Prince Bishop of Liège.
