Îl semble, aussi ahurissant que cela puisse paraître, que le nom est mal orthographié sur le jeton et qu’il s’agisse en réalité de Velars-sur-Ouche. On trouve en effet dans google-books un projet de statuts d’une “Société d'exploitation des verreries de Velars-sur-Ouche” la société initiale ayant manifestement fait faillite.
Par ailleurs, il existe un jeton en argent portant la bonne orthographe voir fjt_304051.
