Reverse legend : SAC. ROM. IMP. ARCHIM. ET ELECT. 1754.
Reverse description : Écu couronné, écartelé aux 1 et 4 de Pologne, aux 2 et 3 de Lituanie, un petit écu sur le tout, reposant sur une couronne végétale formée de deux palmes ; la couronne coupe la légende en haut. Sous l’écu 18, de part et d’autre E D C.
Reverse translation : (empereur du Saint-Empire, archimaréchal et électeur).

POLAND - KINGDOM OF POLAND - AUGUSTUS III

(1733-1763)

Augustus III was born in Dresden on October 17, 1696 and is the son of Augustus II. He was elector of Saxony under the name of Frederic-Auguste II and king of Poland, from 1733 to 1763, under the name of Auguste III. Frederick the Great drove him out of Saxony twice, in 1746 and 1756. He died in Dresden on October 5, 1763.
