Obverse description : Nicolas Hector assis devant une table sur laquelle est posé un encrier. Il soutient de la main gauche un gouvernail et appuie la main droite sur la table. Au-dessus, rayonne une étoile au milieu de nuages .

Obverse translation : Tant que je ferai mon devoir.

Reverse legend : STELLA REGIT NAVTAS DNI MADATA MINISTROS.

Reverse description : Etoile rayonnante, accompagnée de sept autres, au-dessus d'un vaisseau.

Reverse translation : L'étoile guide les marins envoyés en mission par le seigneur.

Commentary

Nicolas Hector, seigneur de Perreuze, fut dépossédé de ses fonctions de Prévôt des Marchands en mai 1588. Libéré en juillet, il resta banni de la Ville. Par une telle légende, Perreuze prend clairement parti contre les Ligueurs .
