Magnifique exemplaire avec une frappe vigoureuse. Très beau portrait. Joli revers avec un Jupiter à la musculature impressionnante. A conservé toute son argenture, une partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine, mais légèrement tachée

Obverse description : Buste radié, drapé et cuirassé de Dioclétien à droite, vu de trois quarts en arrière (A2).
Obverse translation : “Imperator Cæsar Caius Valerius Diocletianus Pius Felix Augustus”, (L’empereur césar Caius Valère Dioclétien pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse description : Jupiter nu debout à gauche, le manteau sur l’épaule, tenant un foudre de la main droite et un sceptre long de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Iovi Conservatori”, (À Jupiter conservateur).
Commentary
Avec son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges fines à peine visibles sous le paludamentum. Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire du Staatliche Museen de Berlin, Bastien n° 24b, pl. II.
