Commentary


Sur cet exemplaire, les portraits sont inversés ce qui constitue une variété beaucoup plus rare. Diaduménien est à gauche et son père est à droite. Au revers, sur notre exemplaire, le E est lunaire.

Historical background


DIADUMENIAN and MACRINUS

Marcianopolis, located a few kilometers from Osupers was founded by Trajan in honor of his sister Marciane, who died in 113 or 114. Coinage was very important between Commodus and Philip II.
