Coments on the condition:

Monnaie frappée sur un flan assez large. La partie du champ à droite de l'écu du revers a été grattée. La frappe apparaît assez faible au niveau de la légende, à 7 heures. Ce huitième de teston est recouvert d'une légère patine marron

Reverse description : Écu de Lorraine avec un lambel à trois pendants, sous une couronne ducale sommée d'une mitre coupant la légende en haut.

Erric is the son of Nicolas de Lorraine-Vaudémont and becomes bishop of Verdun in 1593 when he was only 17 years old. His episcopate ended in 1611, when he resigned in favor of his nephew Charles de Lorraine-Chaligny.
